Pace: Advanced. Very technical. Lots of rocks. Lots of hills....
When: Monday nights at 7:30.
Where: Meet at Gardner Field Parking lot in Denville. See below for directions.
If you love technical riding, you will love this loop. We ride on lots of trails that are not maintained or marked, so its a bit chaotic. There is lots of evidence of all the mining that once went on in this area. Lots of cool stuff to see!
You need to have a high quality headlamp to do this ride. It has to last for at least 3 hours. Also please bring a backup light in case your headlamp has a problem. This ride includes a couple miles of road. Please bring a flashing rear light. This may seem silly, but you really need the rear light. Also if you are uncertain about riding in very rocky, very technical conditions, in the dark, for 2.5 - 3 hours, please call Geoff at our Morristown store for advice. (973) 538-7773.
Directions from Route 80 East: Take exit 38. After you come off the exit ramp, get over to the left lane. At the second traffic light, make a U-turn. Just after you make the U-turn, bear right onto Savage Rd. The Gardner Field parking lot will be your first right turn after the police station.
Directions from Route 80 West: Take exit 39. After you come off the exit ramp, take the second right following signs for route 53 north. At the bottom of this ramp, turn right onto 53 (West Main ST.). Get over to the left lane. Go straight through the first traffic light. Bear left at the second traffic light, staying on West Main St. As soon as you merge onto Route 46, bear right onto Savage Rd. The Gardner Field parking lot will be your first right after the police station.
If you have any questions concerning directions or anything else about this ride, feel free to call Geoff at our Morristown store at (973) 538-7773, or if you are on the way to the ride and get lost, call his cell phone. (201) 572- 9049. Thanks!
